One-off visits work for urgent jobs. For steady upkeep, a regular slot is better. Martin offers monthly packages across the Cotswolds so the same person turns up on the same week every month, works through whatever has come up, and leaves the house a little more in order each time.

Why regular beats ad hoc

Booking a handyman each time something breaks means three things. The job has probably been sitting for weeks before anyone calls. Finding an available tradesman takes longer than the job itself. The person who turns up is different every time and has to start from scratch. A regular slot solves all three. The job is dealt with at the next visit, the diary slot is already booked, and Martin knows the house.

The same person every visit

Martin is the business. There is no team, no subcontracting, no "our engineer will be with you". Every visit is him. Over six or twelve months that matters, especially for older customers. He knows where the fuse box is. He knows which door sticks in winter. He knows which drawer the batteries live in. That continuity is half the point.

Who regular visits suit

Older homeowners who no longer want to manage upkeep themselves. Busy families with big houses and long job lists. Second-home owners who live elsewhere and need someone keeping an eye on the Cotswold property. Small businesses with an office or a shop that needs steady attention but not a full-time caretaker. Holiday let owners with turnover wear and tear.

The three packages

Starter is two hours a month for £55. Suited to smaller homes, one or two small jobs per month, or a short weekly check-in for a relative. Regular is four hours a month for £100. This covers most older homeowners and is the most common package. Premium is eight hours a month for £185. This suits larger properties, second homes, or people who want a longer visit every fortnight.

How the diary works

Once a package is booked, Martin fixes a regular slot. For example, first Tuesday of every month at 10am. The slot stays the same unless you want to change it. If you do not have enough for him to do on a given month, he uses the time for a maintenance walk round, or you can carry forward up to one hour to the following month.

Across the Cotswolds

Cirencester is the base. Regular visits are booked for addresses in Fairford, Lechlade, Tetbury, Malmesbury, South Cerney, Bibury, Northleach, Stow-on-the-Wold and many of the villages in between. A small mileage charge applies outside Cirencester and is shown in the package quote.
