Furniture Moving and Rearranging in Cirencester

Rearranging a room is the sort of job that stalls until somebody helps. Martin moves and rearranges furniture in Cirencester homes, usually as part of a wider list of small jobs on the same visit.

What is included

Bedroom furniture rearrangement, lounge swaps (pulling the sofa away for cleaning, moving a sideboard, turning a room round), helping with a clear out before a charity collection, moving heavy furniture upstairs or downstairs (within reason), garden furniture in and out for the season, bringing a tumble dryer up from the garage, shifting a piano's position within a room (not between floors), and general help when something just needs another pair of hands.

Martin brings furniture sliders, a sack trolley, a small dolly, and straps. Most heavy items can be moved solo with the right kit. Carpet is protected with covers and door frames are watched so nothing gets dinged on the way through.

What is NOT included

A full house move is a removals firm's job and involves insurance cover Martin does not carry for contents in transit. Some items are two-person minimum for safety: a full upright piano being moved between floors, a very heavy wardrobe with the drawers in, a large safe. Martin will tell you at the quoting stage if the job genuinely needs a second person, and can arrange one if you want.

How long it takes

A single bedroom rearrangement is usually an hour to an hour and a half. A full lounge rearrangement plus clear-out can fill a half-day. Seasonal garden furniture (out in March, in in October) is typically a quick 30-minute visit.

Pricing

First hour £55, each hour after £35. Half-day £125, full day £230. If a second person is genuinely needed, that is arranged and costed separately before the job starts.

Can you help me move house? No, not a full house move, but Martin can help with the awkward bits (the shed, the loft clear-out, a few specific items to a relative's).

Will you protect the carpet? Yes, with covers and sliders under furniture feet.

My sofa will not fit through the door. Can you help? Sometimes yes, by removing the door, the door frame or taking the sofa legs off. Send a photo of the doorway and the sofa before booking.
