Errands and Post Office in Cirencester
Parcels posted, banking, council office visits, dry cleaning, key cutting. The mundane jobs that take an hour out of your day.
Running an errand is never just an errand. It is the parking, the queuing, the walk back, and the rest of the afternoon gone. Martin handles everyday errands across Cirencester, town or village, on your behalf.
What is included
Posting parcels at the Cirencester Post Office, sending Royal Mail tracked, dropping off and collecting at the DHL, Evri or DPD drop shops around town, banking deposits (for you or a family member with the right paperwork), council office visits, dry cleaning drop-off and collection, key cutting at Timpson, shoe repairs, passport photo collection, a specific shop visit for a gift or a replacement item, and library returns.
If the errand is anything that involves your cash, your cards or your documents, Martin will confirm the paperwork needed before the visit and keep a receipt for everything.
What is NOT included
Anything that requires you to be there in person (some solicitors' visits, some bank transactions, anything involving signing a legal document) is not something Martin can do for you. He can drive you to the appointment instead under the "accompanying to appointments" service.
How long it takes
A single Cirencester errand is usually 30 to 45 minutes. A run of three or four errands around town is typically an hour. Villages further out (Tetbury, Fairford, Lechlade) are longer because of the drive.
Pricing
First hour £55, each hour after £35. Most errand visits fit comfortably within the first hour. Combined with a grocery shop or prescription collection on the same visit, a two-hour slot usually gets a good chunk of the list cleared.
Common questions
Can you post something valuable? Yes, with Royal Mail Special Delivery or a tracked courier service. Martin will bring back the receipt and tracking number.
Can you pay in a cheque for me? Yes, most banks accept a third party paying in with the paying-in slip filled out, but rules vary. Martin will check with your specific bank first.
What if the parcel is too big for the car? Usually fine. If it is genuinely too big, he will let you know before coming and you can book a courier pickup from home instead.
